On 31 October this year, the Mozambique Stock Exchange. In coordination with the Bank of Mozambique, celebrated World Savings Day in Xai-Xai City, Gaza Province, which hosted the central ceremonies of the ephemeris. The BVM was represented by the heads of the Department of Financial Education and the Office of Communication and Image, namely, Elsa Leão and Paula Bila, respectively.

The event was attended by the local government, and the opening ceremony was chaired by His Excellency Governor of Gaza Province, Stella Pinto Zeca, who spoke to the students present about the importance of savings and the various forms of do it.

About 300 students from the Josina Machel Primary Schools, July 24 Primary School, and the Higher Institute of Commerce attended. Several activities were held throughout the day, including financial education workshops focused on savings, plays, games, music and dance.

In parallel to the workshops, a financial education fair was held, attended by mobile companies, commercial banks, insurance companies, among other institutions.

It should be noted that this action falls within the scope of the BVM Financial Education Program (2017-19), which has as its general objective, to promote training for priority audiences, and to disseminate information about the Capital Market and the stock exchange.
