On June 9, Mozambique Stock Exchange received at its premises the renowned Mozambican musician Moreira Chonguiça, the saxophone maximum exponent in Mozambique. It was a courtesy visit, and at the same time it was meant to open doors for future partnerships regarding projects focused on Mozambican culture.
Moreira Chonguiça, an internationally renowned jazz musician, attended the University of Cape Town in South Africa in order to continue his studies in music, where he graduated from the South African College of Music with a degree in Jazz Performance and Ethnomusicology.
It should be noted that the young Jazz musician has embraced social responsibility and community work initiatives, and for several years he has been working with the United Nations Agency for HIV / AIDS in Maputo. In 2009 he wrote and composed a song for the World AIDS Day. Photos of the event
