The Portuguese Ambassador to Mozambique, Helena Paiva, donated 41 books and publications to feed the bibliographic collection of the BVM.
The manual delivery ceremony took place on November 13th at BVM's offices.
During the ceremony, BVM's PCA, Salim Valá, announced the challenges of the Exchange for the coming years and the portfolio projects that contribute to the development of the stock market and the recognition of its role in the country's financial system and economy.
The Ambassador of Portugal warmly welcomed BVM's portfolio projects and the dynamism they have been undertaking to serve the Mozambican economy and to become an instrument to ensure the sustainable development of Mozambique.
She also emphasized that Portugal and Mozambique's relationship is historic and strong in several areas of development, with a focus on economic, political and cultural areas, and reiterated the willingness of the Portuguese Government to support BVM in its challenges, as regards Support Institution, Training of the Staff, Exchange of Experiences with the Securities Market Commission of Portugal, among other areas.
It should be noted that the 41 books and publications offered by the Securities Market Commission of Lisbon will contribute to equip the Library of BVM, which is in the creation phase.
