The Mozambique Stock Exchange (BVM), in partnership with the Bank of Mozambique (BM) and the Insurance Supervision Institute of Mozambique (ISSM).
Celebrated from 12 to 18 March 2018, at the national level, the Global Money Week, under the theme "Money Matters Matter".
The celebration of the Global Money Week is conditioned by the invitation of the Child & Youth Finance International (CYFI), an international body whose purpose is to provide children and the youth across the world, with access to financial services, economic rights’ awareness and empower them to build their assets, invest in their future and ultimately break the cycle of poverty.
With the support of the Financial Sector Deepening Mozambique (FSDMoç), the three institutions celebrated the event at the Francisco Manyanga Secondary School, located in Maputo City, through the organization of educational and recreational activities, including challenges about capital market, insurance and money matters among schools, and well as a play and music show by the renowned Mozambican singer Liloca, who offered the students entertaining moments, singing her well-known and popular songs.
The event was attended by 300 students from the Francisco Manyanga, Eduardo Mondlane, Josina Machel, Estrela Vermelha and Arco Iris Secondary Schools, being the latter the winner of the challenge.
The celebrations of Global Money Week culminated with the visit of the winning students to the operational areas of the Bank of Mozambique, Mozambique Stock Exchange and the Insurance Supervision Institute, aimed at combining the concepts learned during the presentations.
