Summary:
Approved by Decree Law no. 4/2009, of July 24 – occupies a central place in the whole regulation of Securities, and contains provisions that seek in a very general approach, to delimit the concept of securities, their issuance, transfer, the various types of operations on them, the intermediation activity and markets in which they can be traded, the supervision and regulation of the securities market.
In addition to the aforementioned aspects, CMVM establishes the fundamental assumptions and requirements that companies must observe in the admission to listing process of securities on the stock exchange, public offers namely, OPS, OPV, OPA, as well as the contraventions and penalties regime applicable to activities carried out on the securities market.
