The Mozambique Stock Exchange (BVM) was created in 1998 as a public institute with the mission of organizing , managing and maintaining the centralized secondary securities market, contributing to the promotion and capture of savings and its direction to the productive sector of the public and private economy. The mission of BVM is to organize, manage and maintain the centralized secondary market of securities, contributing to the promotion and capture of savings and its direction to the productive sector of the economy, public and private, and aiming to be a financial marketplace of reference in the supply of products and services in the capital market. Within a field of possibilities that includes different and differentiating ideologies, visions and perspectives, we have chosen to stimulate synergies, aggregate competencies and share the risks inherent to the promotion and dynamization of the Mozambican capital market, through an unequivocal bet on partnerships and cooperation.

After 24 years of existence, BVM prepared a series of events to commemorate its 24th anniversary, with a special moment of the festivities being the strengthening of international cooperation, highlighting the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Angolan Debt and Securities Exchange (BODIVA), the Cape Verde Stock Exchange (BVC) and BVM, the holding of the International Conference on Opportunities for Capital Market Development, the BVM Awards 2021 Edition and the inauguration of the BVM Library.

The memorandum's main objective is to: (1) to promote the exchange of experience and best practices adopted by stock exchanges and other relevant capital market players, in order to attract and diversify the type of investors, which consequently may lead to increased market liquidity; (2) to promote the internationalization of companies and markets, -dynamizing the secondary market and adapting it to new regional and global trends; (3) to present and discuss the main achievements, lessons, challenges and perspectives of the capital market and to propose the innovations to be introduced to make the market more sustainable and; (4) to gather sensibility and views of the main capital market players on how to solve the main prevailing problems, and how to make the secondary market more vibrant and liquid.

Following the holding of these events, we present the Report of the BVM 24th Anniversary Commemorations Week, where the events held from October 25 to 28 are presented.
