Mozambique Stock Exchange, in partnership with the Central Bank of Mozambique and the Insurance Supervision Institute of Mozambique (ISSM), organized a Financial Education session.

As part of the International Money Week celebrations, on March 29, at the Auditorium of the Municipality of Matola City.

The initiative, promoted by Child and Youth Finance International (CYFI), an institution founded in April 2012 in Amsterdam, in the Netherlands, aims to promote financial inclusion and education for the economic citizenship and foster youth entrepreneurship in children and young people worldwide.

This year the money week will take place from March 27 to April 2, worldwide, and the celebrations will consist of activities aimed at raising awareness about healthy financial habits for children and young people.

The event was attended by 200 students from the Secondary Schools of the Municipality of Matola city, who had the opportunity to learn issues related to the Stock Exchange, namely: its role in attracting savings and their conversion into productive investment, the importance of insurance and conservation of metical, among other matters.

Salim Valá, during his intervention,  urged young people to be bold, dedicated, demanding and committed to studies, in order to help build a promising future for Mozambique.

Note that, parallel to this action, various awareness activities on financial habits in all the Provinces of the country will be carried out throughout the Week.
